Miyuki's Presentation/ Google Earth
I would like to talk about Google Earth for my Technology presentation.
I use Google Earth for my Geography class and I found it's really good.
So I would like to encourage you to use it.
Google Earth is a free download system which you can download from Google site.
this is really easy to download and it doesn't take long time to do that.
The system itself is also easy to use. if you put place name in the search box, the place will be zoomed up. You also can Zoom up and down more with you mouse, so you can see what are there around that place. They also show the name of the famous buildings, rivers, mountains,streets,and so on. sometimes, there are marks "W" which means Wikipedia and if you click on that, it will jump straight to Wikipedia so you can get some information about that places.
Also, You can measure the length between places. If you click "tool", You will see "ruler". After you click on "ruler", You will be able to draw lines to a place to different places. This is all you do if you want to know the length between places.
In my opinion, this system is really good and more over it's free. I really recomend you downloading this if you haven't done it yet. It will help you a lot;finding out what there are near the places where you try to stay for spring break, knowing about where your friends are from and more. Also it's fun to know about landscape or how places look like in other countries with this tool.

I like the idea of using google earth. we can take alot of advantage from using this website. we don't have to go visiting that country by ourselve, just search by google earth and we can know pretty much about that area or that country. when i came to US for first time and my cousin who was only 13 years old at time, searched for my address and he knew where were i leave,and he told me that he just searched from google earth..i think the technologies in this day are very smart. But one of my question is ..if somebody has the negative target that want to destroy the others country or the stealer want to steal some of the high value in somebody place.It is very easily for that kind of people who using the advantage from google earth for the bad purpose.
ReplyDeleteThis is a good program to find places you like. We are an international students and we can find our house in this program. When I felt homesick I watched my home all day. It's good idea to develop this program and to add some new details. But now is ok. because you write one word and program searching all places which this detail is involved. I think that this technology is very easy to use and everyone can operate it.
ReplyDeleteGood technology presentation but i already hear about it and i used it in the past to find location but i did really know this program and the way you explain us how we can use it. i was happy to know more about this technology and i think i will use it more often than in the past so thank you for this amazing presentation and for showing us the reall perpose of google earth. It a technology that we can use in every day life

ReplyDeleteI could see how powerful that Amercian goverment. they could see everything of my home. anyway this help people a lot to know our commen home the earth. contribute the human to move and explore the earth, also this product make the world smaller. I really enough the feeling that fall from the outer space to the home, closer and closer.haha good job!
